Privacy Policy
Effective date 1 September 2026
The short version
SkateNip has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no servers run by the developer. Your progress stays on your device. The only online services the app can use are Apple's Game Center, which is optional, and Apple's App Store for purchases.
What is stored on your device
- Settings: steering mode, tilt calibration, volumes, haptics, accessibility options.
- Progress: fish balance, unlocked and equipped cosmetics, best times, best style scores, medals, achievement progress, tutorial completion.
- Optionally a compact local replay of your best run — positions and timestamps inside the game course only, never device motion history.
- Leaderboard scores that could not be sent yet, while you are offline.
None of this leaves your device through anything the developer operates. It may be included in your device backups, which are governed by Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What the developer does not do
- No account system and no developer-operated backend.
- No analytics or telemetry of any kind.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across apps or websites. The app's privacy manifest declares tracking as false and lists no tracking domains.
- No access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or health data, and no third-party SDKs.
Game Center
If you sign in to Game Center, the app sends your race results — final time and style score — to Apple's leaderboards and reports achievement progress. Apple processes that under Apple's own privacy policy. Declining Game Center changes nothing about the game.
Purchases
Optional cosmetic purchases and the Double Fish Bonus are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. The developer never receives or stores your payment details. Purchases are attached to your Apple Account and can be restored after reinstalling.
Children
The app has no chat, no user-generated content, no advertising and no third-party data collection. It is not specifically directed at children and is not enrolled in the App Store Kids Category.
Changes
If a future update changes what the app does with data, this policy is updated first, the effective date is revised, and material changes are noted in the App Store release notes.
